The media buy for MasterCard's Android Pay launch consisted entirely of YouTube pre-rolls. So we cast YouTube stars as our leads. After 30 seconds the spots rolled into a series of outtakes.
Leveraging their huge and dedicated fanbases worked. Less people clicked 'Skip Ad' than in the history of YouTube, and the videos rapidly passed 15 million combined views within weeks of launching.
